: I am thinking about joining NAA. Does anyone know anthing about them and are they reputable?
An important thing to understand about NAA is that the so called agencies are rented rooms by 'agency managers'. The quality of the collective agency is therefore irrelevant as each agent is independent and can determine his/her own direction. However, the leads that agents recieve are determined by availability and significantly how the 'agency manager' uses that availability. A bad agency manager can have a profound impact on how you recieve your leads. In general NAA agency managers are satisfactory and understand how the system works.
Naturally some so called managers have unfortunate personalities such as Randy Graetz at the Portland OR agency who is astonshingly arrogant and unpredictable. He will be pleasant to you for a while and then a few minutes later take delight in attempting to cause you public embarrassment or discomfort. It may be that as a 20 something immigrant with few real prospects of gainful employment it is only his arrogance that has propelled him into a position he should not be within a mile of.
The Portland group contains many very successful and pleasant agents who do an admirable job of tolerating Randy Graetz, while making him appear somewhat successful through their talents and energy.
