Hello Burgess, There seem to be a lot of wrong doors in the insurance industry. I'm happy with what I have and would like to discuss it with you if your interested. If you want to make a good income and be independent, please write to me. The association is called CLA/United Independent and a lifetime membership is $20. There training is great and the lead sources are as well. If you are interested, I'd help you get started. Best part is you can live anywhere and still make your income. Jennifer
: I'm a new agent, licensed in August. I would have never considered a career in insurance, but corporate america got to me and I responded to an ad for Altig a Tourchmark company. I thought what they were offering would fulfil my need to do something meaningful. So I got a license, went through their 'training' which consisted of memorizing a 9 page script, found out the 'leads' were over 1 yr old, the people unscrupulous..and quit. Went to Aflac....really like their product line and the company, but with only a 1.38% penetration (or they say) in my area (TN), I find that we are tripping over each other. I don't mind 'no's', but constantly hearing 'we have Aflac' or 'I've seen about x-amount Aflac agents in the past year' is very discouraging. I've not seen any comission since I started down this road. I went through quite a few of the posts here, and am curious about the online opportunities and/or any other advise/encouragement the pros can give. I really don't want to go back to corporate america. :
