Gosh I hear ya! I don't want to go back to Corporate American either.
I got a degree in math and worked in the engineering field for a while but I love the freedom that being my own boss gives me and the insurance field does that for me.
The trick is finding the RIGHT program with a way to find CLIENTS and a good enough contract so that I can make real MONEY! Now thats not to much to ask for, right?
What products do you like to sell? Life, Health, LTC, Final Expense, Mortgage Protection, Pension Plans(taking advantage of the new tax law changes of Aug 17), Medicare PDP Advantage and Suppements, Dental Plans... and more ?
Do you want fresh free leads ? Or get a higher contract and pay a nominal fee?
I am of the firm belief that an agent should have the freedom to sell any product from and carrier they want. And if you give an agent a way to make consistant good money the they will always stay loyal.
