They told me at Primerica that I owned my own business, but when I left to become independent, I found out that I had absolutely no ownership whatsoever. Get the agent contract and read it VERY carefully. : Tom, Skull, Not all companies lie to their agents. If they do lie to you them you have a right to sue them for missrepresentation or breach of contract. Do not sign a contract without reading and understanding what you are agreeing to.
