I just left a captive company that I was with for 6yrs. I want to go independent, but my agent contract has a noncompete . For 1 yr. I can't sell insurance within 25 miles of the location that I had with them or I can go back into the business immediately as long as I am 25 miles away.This is a problem because I want to sell and service in my hometown which was where my captive agency was. Does anyone have any experience with noncompetes in the state of Georgia. Thanks, Everlene
